Technology Tuesday- Aurasma

It's that time again! Technology Tuesday!

Today's tech share is a free app called Aurasma.

This is a great tool to use in the classroom to create Augmented Realities.

Check out this video to see what Augmented Reality looks like, then I'll let you know how I use it in my classroom.

I have used it to enhance student work. Last week, students completed a timeline of their second grade year. Afterwards, I videotaped them presenting their timeline, then "linked" it to the Aurasma app. Now, students can take any device with the Aurasma app on it and listen & watch their classmates present their projects.

As you can imagine, there are unlimited uses for this tool.
I first learned about it in a PD a few months back at our school.
When I had some free time I hopped over to Kleinspiration to read more about it. This is an incredible blog post all about Aurasma, including genius ways to use it in your classroom, and a VERY easy user guide!

Hope you can use this in your classroom, my kiddos have loved it!

  2. LOVE Aurasma! We used it at Open House the last two years. I emailed instructions for following our class to parents ahead of time. It is such a neat way to share digital work and add an interactive layer to projects. www.erintegration.com

I am working with Megan on updates right now too... Just saw my preview and am so excited. Anyway, I have been looking for an app for Augmented Reality... I can't wait to try this one out with my kids next year!
