Tech Tuesday- Moby Max

I'm so happy to be linking up with Marie, at Once Upon a Classroom for Tech Tuesday.

Today I'm sharing one of my favorite math websites, Moby Max.

It's teacher and student friendly, allows students to work at their own pace AND is FREE! Boom!

Moby Max is not just a math tool, it also targets literacy skills. However, I have only used it for math skills in my classroom, so that's what I feel comfortable sharing.

After you create your free account, this is the screen you will see.

You can add students to your roster very easily and then they can get started. My students mostly used the first three apps of the website; Math, Fact Master, and Numbers. What's great is that it's self paced based on the students ability. It continues to add strategies and increases complexity as the student grows in math.

Student friendly questions

It's been a great tool to help students learn math strategies. One of my favorite things is that it's practically no work on the teacher, and students can navigate the website independently on any device! It's been a great homework booster too!

Since ALL teachers CRAVE data, I was ecstatic to see it break down each student as they use the program.  You can view a student snapshot, which tells their overall progress.

Or, you can view students progress per "app". Here you can see how some students scored during fact fluency practice.

Students are also given progress reports, and can see which math facts they have already mastered, and what they need to work on.

I know the year is winding down, but you can add this to your to-do list for the beginning of next year! OR, add your kiddos before summer to help prevent that dreaded Summer Slide!!

Let me know if you have any questions!

  1. Hi Amy! First of all, I laughed so hard when I saw the Joey picture! (Huge Friends fan!) This sounds like a very well-rounded practice tool for students. I will have to look into it. Thanks for linking up!
