Atlantis

The Atlantis resort in the Bahamas may be one of my favorite places on earth!

When you combine gorgeous beaches, beautiful weather, frosty drinks, dolphins, and sweet locals, well I am THERE!

The sunsets were amazing and when you stay here, you feel like you are staying in a palace! Naturally, the food was ridiculously a little expensive, but you are paying for the atmosphere. Needless to say, the hubby and I shared a lot of our meals, and loaded up on the frosty drinks instead.

One of my favorite beaches was this one above, located in the cove. I have been to several beaches in the Caribbean, but I always feel uncomfortable when locals approach me and try to sell me something. I just want to relax people!
Well, you can only get to the cove beach by way of the resort, so there were no locals out there trying to barter. It was truly relaxing!
Hallelujah!

And now the grand finale!

One of the most amazing experiences I have ever had was with this sweet dolphin! I wish I could remember her name!

You can book a dolphin experience within Atlantis. They have different packages available here and some of them are very affordable. We waded in the water with them, played with them, and of course caught some smooches!
As you can tell, I was afraid I was going to miss my opportunity to kiss my dolphin, so I went ALL IN! The hubby still makes fun of me for this picture!

The hubby also loved the water park. Water slides aren't really my thing, but if it's your thing, then Atlantis has hooked you up! Check it out here

Recommendations

We stayed in The Royal Towers, which were pretty good prices, around $150 a night.  However, if you are willing to drop some $$, they have a more seclusive and exclusive section called The Cove Atlantis. Talk about luxury!

Don't be afraid to go out and explore the town! We were able to enjoy chatting with the locals and eating at some local places that didn't cost an arm and a leg

Explore the resort! It's enormous! There is a sweet little "town" attached to Atlantis called the Harborside Resort that has restaurants and shops by the marina. They also have a Caribbean parade that trots through the town and puts on a very entertaining show.

Have an amazing time!
